No Injuries Reported as CA Contains Two Wildfires

Two fires in California are seeing their end as firefighters put their finishing touches on the scene. No injuries or major damage have been reported from either blaze as first responders were quick to call up manpower from neighboring areas and contain both fires without fanfare.

The Stokes Fire in California's Tulare County was declared 100% contained, after burning 880 acres. The fire, located near Cutler-Orosi in central California brought firefighters from many neighboring counties, many of which are still putting out hotspots and monitoring the area to make sure it doesn't re-ignite. A boy has claimed responsibility for the fire, claiming he accidentally started it when some machinery on his farm hit a rock and threw sparks.

A fire in the San Bernardino Mountains near Silverwood Lake has been declared 75% contained and authorities expect it to be under full control by Friday morning, if not sooner. So far, 66 acres have burned, far shy of the 100 acre prediction, when the blaze started Tuesday.
