The National Weather Service reported that a tornado hit the town of Harrisonville yesterday, in Cass County, Missouri. The tornado was rated an EF0 on the Fujita scale, with winds recorded up to 72 mph. The twister damaged an area two miles long, including a church, and local businesses and homes.
Further south in central Texas, AP reports that flash floods have left buses and RV's "wrapped around trees, while the region saw a tornado of its own in Jefferson County. While no injuries were reported from the tornado, New Braunfels police recovered one dead man from the Guadalupe River shortly after the torrential flooding. Some 11 inches of rain flooded the area between San Antonio and Austin.

The flooding has called out game wardens from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, who have been assisting local authorities in high-water rescues.
